Rising Sons

DE Darius Hamilton
Son of Keith Hamilton
12-year NFL veteran
His dad's nickname is "Hammer" and Darius has no problems dropping the hammer on opposing QBs, just like his old man did.
Keith Hamilton, a standout for the New York Giants in the '90s, played 173 games and recorded 514 tackles and 63 sacks. Darius, No. 66 in the ESPNU 150, is a star defensive end for the nation's top prep team, Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep. Still, for their similarities on the field, their relationship had some ups and downs after Keith was arrested in February 2006 for beating Darius when he was 12 years old.
Eventually, Keith was given probation and sentenced to undergo counseling with his son. Those sessions reportedly brought the two closer together, a relationship that is strong to this day. The football tutelage has surely benefited Darius, who is considering Cal, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma and Ohio State, among others.
