Rising Sons

QB Zeke Pike Son of Mike Pike
13-year NFL veteran
In 1982, Mark Pike, who went on to play for over a decade with the Buffalo Bills, was a star for Fort Mitchell (Ky.) Dixie Heights. Today, his son, Zeke, stars at Dixie Heights.
"I have always just looked at him like my dad," the 6-foot-4, 233-pound quarterback said. "He's been such a positive influence. He has always been there for me. But you have to live up to certain expectations."
Zeke, an Auburn commit, has handled the pressure of those weighty expectations well.
"There was pressure when he got to high school," Mark said. "But that was people's expectations. It didn't help that I went to high school there and had my jersey retired. People look at Zeke, and others like Zeke, like they have it easy. It's probably the opposite. It's harder on Zeke because of those expectations."
