Rising Sons

RB Barry Sanders
Son of Barry Sanders
Pro Football Hall of Fame RB
When people think of the elder Sanders, they think of an explosive runner who rarely showboated after a touchdown. In that sense, the younger Sanders is just like his father. He's not one who likes to be flamboyant on the football field, and he takes pride in being a team leader and football ambassador. Also like his father, the younger Sanders is quick to show ridiculous bursts of speed, a method of making defenders miss and an ability to make ankle-breaking cuts -- all in the same play.
Oklahoma State, where his dad won a Heisman, is among the younger Sanders' finalists, but he says his dad is "not pressuring me into doing anything. I know about what he did at OSU, but he wants me to go where I feel I will fit best. I know I can count on him for support, and he has always been there whenever I've had any questions about recruiting or about anything, really."
