Rain Garden:The rain garden outside Stinson-Remick Hall utilizes hardy, native plantings to trap storm water in a low-impact yet aesthetic manner. Throughout the campus, a comprehensive approach to storm water management protects local lakes and wetlands from sedimentation and others forms of runoff pollution. University policies include protection and expansion of the campus tree cover, strict construction site management, road and storm drain cleaning, and community education.
