Yards to Glory

21. Not By Design
Darrell Bevell runs in Rose Bowl scoreJan. 1, 1994: Wisconsin's storybook season ended with a surprise twist in the Rose Bowl. Darrell Bevell's passing had helped guide the Badgers to Pasadena for the first time since 1963. Bevell set team records for both passing yards (2,390) and passing touchdowns (19), but he wasn't known for his running. With Wisconsin up 14-10 in the fourth quarter, Bevell stunned everyone, including UCLA defenders, by scooting 21 yards for a touchdown. Wisconsin held on to win 21-16.
