Dan Marino fires game-winning touchdown in Sugar BowlJan. 1, 1982: The 1982 Sugar Bowl featured an incredible matchup between two collegiate stars -- Georgia running back Herschel Walker and Pitt quarterback Dan Marino. The game went back and forth until the closing seconds. Trailing 20-17, Pitt took the ball and started driving. On fourth-and-5 with 42 seconds to go, Marino saw Bulldogs defenders coming on a blitz, a mistake versus Marino. John Brown got open and Marino found him for a 33-yard touchdown and a 24-20 win.
