Todd Marinovich and Johnny Morton take battle of L.A.Nov. 17, 1990: USC quarterback Todd Marinovich connected with Johnny Morton from 23 yards with 20 seconds left as the Trojans nipped rival UCLA in a 45-42 barnburner. That was the second of two late, go-ahead touchdowns Morton caught in the final three minutes to give the Trojans a comeback victory in a back-and-forth affair, the highest-scoring game played between the two schools. Morton caught the second despite playing with a separated shoulder he sustained on the first. UCLA had taken a 42-38 lead with 1:19 to go before the Trojans drove for the dramatic final tally.
