One of Swinney's most cherished awards, the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award is given to the coach whose team excels on the field, but also in academics and community works. Swinney's mentors Bobby Bowden and Bill Curry both won the award previously, and in 2011, he was awarded the trophy after leading Clemson to an ACC championship. "This was a great honor for me and something I was very humbled by," Swinney said.
