Inside Dabo Swinney's Office - View 2

Swinney has a number of footballs littering his office, but this one stands out.
He played a round of golf with Clemson alum Dwight Clark early in his coaching tenure, and afterward, Clark presented him with this ball and a bottle of wine. On the ball, Clark drew up the play from his famous catch to beat the Dallas Cowboys in the 1982 NFC Championship Game.
"Ironically, my college coach, Gene Stallings, was the secondary coach [for Dallas]," Swinney said. On one visit to Swinney's office, Stallings pointed out the ball and asked about it. "I said, 'Oh Coach, Dwight Clark played here,' and I'm describing the catch to him," Swinney said. "He looked at me and said, 'Oh, I know what it is.' It brought back some bad memories for him."
