ESPN.com Preseason Power Rankings - College Basketball
19. UNLV
In coach Dave Rice's first season, he put the Runnin' back into the Rebels. UNLV climbed as high as No. 11 in the polls with a lightning form of basketball that harkened back to the Jerry Tarkanian years. Now the team wants to achieve more and may be able to do it thanks to the most talented roster since, well, the Tarkanian years. UNLV not only returns junior forward Mike Moser (who flirted with an early entry to the NBA) and senior guard Anthony Marshall, but also adds ESPN.com's seventh-ranked recruiting class (led by McDonald's All-American Anthony Bennett). Not to mention USC transfer guard Bryce Jones and Pitt transfer forward Khem Birch (who will be available to play after the fall semester). The Rebels seem built for an impressive run.
