LSU quarterback Tommy Hodson hit Eddie Fuller in the back of the end zone with an 11-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-10 to upset No. 4-ranked Auburn, 7-6. Tiger Stadium was pure bedlam afterward, triggering a small tremor across campus that has since become legendary. The seismograph reading was discovered the next day in the Howe-Russell Geoscience Complex on campus.
