Joe Montana
San Francisco 49ers | Super Bowls XVI, XIX, XXIII, XXIVAs a late pick in the 1979 draft, 49ers quarterback Joe Montana left a legacy that was far from expected. After taking home Super Bowls XVI and XIX along with being named MVP of both games, Montana was eyeing his third ring in Super Bowl XXIII. With time running out, Montana had to make a decision quickly. Within four plays the 49ers covered 85 yards, capped off by Montana throwing a 14-yard touchdown pass to lead the 49ers to another championship. He then did it again at Super Bowl XXIV, throwing for 297 yards and Super Bowl-record five TDs, earning him his third and final MVP award.
