Inside Nick Saban's Office - View 2

A fan of all sports, Saban had already met former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda earlier in his career, but that relationship went to another level in January 2010 when Alabama was on the West Coast preparing for the BCS National Championship against Texas.
Lasorda was living near the Crimson Tide's Costa Mesa, California, practice site and treated Saban and his coaches to one legendary baseball story after another ... as only Lasorda can tell them. Let's just say they had plenty of color.
Saban, who can relate, still laughs heartily when he looks at the autographed picture of Lasorda from his playing days.
"He would come to practice every day and would come to the coaches' locker room and sit and hold court while we were showering, and I mean, he would tell these baseball stories, one after another," Saban says. "I spent every day with the guy for a week listening to some great stories and got to be decent friends with him."
