13. Notre Dame
The South Bend glory was partially restored last season with Notre Dame running the regular-season table en route to the Discover BCS National Championship Game. There, the Irish received a lesson in championship football from Alabama, discovering a gap that they have gone about bridging in the seven months since. Like most everything with Notre Dame, though, the offseason was not without drama. Brian Kelly flirted with the Eagles, Manti Te'o found himself at the center of a bizarre hoax, Gunner Kiel transferred, prized signee Eddie Vanderdoes flipped to UCLA and, most importantly, Everett Golson got booted from school for the fall. Now it's up to Tommy Rees to put distractions aside and build off the 2012 campaign. -- Matt Fortuna
