ESPN.com Preseason Power Rankings 2013

T-14. Texas
Everything sets up for 2013 to be a big year for Texas: 19 returning starters, a third-year quarterback in David Ash and a wide-open Big 12 with no consensus favorite. The schedule has two non-cupcakes (at BYU, Ole Miss), road tests at TCU and Baylor and a Red River game nobody is overlooking after consecutive embarrassing losses to Oklahoma. Ash is the unquestioned starter and leads an offense that brings back its top three backs, two best receivers and all five starting offensive linemen. Jackson Jeffcoat and Jordan Hicks are healthy and ready to anchor a defense that has depth at all three levels. All that talent has Texas aiming for a conference title and a BCS bowl -- and maybe more. -- Max Olson
