Manti Te'o
Linebacker | Notre DameThe most decorated player in college football history -- awards-wise, at least -- can add one more distinction to his growing list of them. Te'o already has broken Charles Woodson's 1997 record of five national awards, and he will be playing for an even bigger prize next month. The senior linebacker overcame the deaths of his grandmother and his girlfriend within hours of each other earlier this season and has restored the glory at Notre Dame, which will square off with defending champion Alabama on Jan. 7. Te'o has nine takeaways (seven interceptions, two fumble recoveries) and 103 tackles for the undefeated, No. 1 Irish.
