Wladimir Klitschko
2009-present
Klitschko joined older brother Vitali to become the second set of brothers to hold a share of the heavyweight title (after Leon and Michael Spinks) and the first to do so simultaneously. Wladimir first won a portion of the title in 2003 against Chris Byrd and, after bouncing back from two upset defeats by knockout, rebounded to win the title again in a 2006 rematch with Byrd.
Klitschko later captured the linear championship in 2009 -- four years after it went vacant due to the retirement of his brother -- by stopping Ruslan Chagaev in Germany. Heading into his Nov. 10 bout with Mariusz Wach, Klitschko has made 12 straight title defenses since 2006.
