ESPN.com's 2012 All-America Team

Eric Reid
Safety | LSUOvershadowed by stars like Morris Claiborne and Tyrann Mathieu, quietly put together a solid debut as LSU's starting free safety last season -- tying Mathieu for the team lead with 76 tackles (53 solo) while also intercepting two passes. He played his best in big games, intercepting a pass and forcing a fumble in LSU's 9-6 overtime win over Alabama and leading the Tigers in tackles in both the SEC and BCS championship games. With Claiborne and Mathieu gone, the physical 6-foot-2, 212-pound junior has become the secondary's unquestioned leader.
