Fight Credential

Technique
Skills and power are Cotto's trademarks. His body work is remarkable. Very few fighters bring to bear such clear and potent contact on their opponent's lower torso. Cotto can box and bang, and he feels equally at home in both situations, making him a complete package. But Mayweather is as technically sound as any of the all-time greats. Boxing seems to come as second nature to him, with only a dash of excessive cockiness in his ring strut getting in the way of his achieving perfection. It would be a dead-even category if it weren't for Mayweather's far superior defensive prowess and wiser use of spaces in the ring.
Advantage: Mayweather
