8. Florida
The Gators lost the core of their frontcourt (Alex Tyus, Chandler Parsons, Vernon Macklin) from a team that fell just short of the Final Four last season. But Florida may have one of the best perimeters in the country with the option for a four-guard rotation. Erving Walker and Kenny Boynton can be streaky, but are now experienced guards. Transfer Mike Rosario was a gunner at Rutgers, but he can give UF a second burst of scoring off the bench. Bradley Beal is one of the top freshmen in the country. The key will be Patric Young. He has a chance to finally blossom as a main man in the post. Florida has its most challenging schedule under Billy Donovan, with road games at Ohio State and Syracuse among the tests. But this team will be right there with Kentucky and Vandy at the top of the SEC. -- Andy Katz
