Bo Jackson powers Auburn to SEC titleDec. 3, 1983: A year after leading Auburn to a victory over rival Alabama with a last-minute touchdown run in the Iron Bowl, Tigers running back Bo Jackson ran for 256 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-20 win over the Crimson Tide in 1983. Alabama, in its first season under coach Ray Perkins, took a 20-16 lead late in the second half. But then Jackson scored on a 71-yard touchdown run, giving the Tigers their first SEC title since 1957 and a Sugar Bowl appearance.
