Roger Staubach
Dallas Cowboys | Super Bowls VI, XIIBefore Troy Aikman, Danny White and Tony Romo, there was Roger Staubach. With a résumé that included a Heisman Trophy and a tour of duty in the Vietnam War, Staubach strutted into the NFL as a 27-year-old rookie on the Dallas Cowboys. He assumed full-time quarterbacking duties in the middle of the 1971 season to lead the Cowboys to their first Super Bowl. With a decisive 119-yard, two-touchdown performance from Staubach, the Cowboys breezed by the Dolphins, 24-3. Six years later, he would do it again, this time with a 27-10 victory against Denver in Super Bowl XII. Along the way he picked up a Super Bowl MVP award, coined a famous football term (the "Hail Mary pass") and played in six Pro Bowls.
