One of the most significant uniform changes made during Richt's tenure was adding helmet stickers to the back of UGA's red helmets. Players are given white bone stickers for on-field accomplishments, while they receive black ones for academic milestones.
Richt has a helmet in his office from his first season at Georgia in 2001. The helmet includes the prototypes for the bone stickers.
"If you look real close, these are bones that we actually drew on a piece of paper and cut out and made copies of," Richt said. "This was a prototype to decide what we wanted our helmet stickers to look like. There were never bones on the helmets prior to me coming to Georgia."
