Inside Nick Saban's Office - View 1

Saban admits unabashedly that he's superstitious. But, then, most coaches are.
His daughter, Kristen, gives him a lucky penny for every game, and he stacks them at home. But he also once wore the same straw hat for nearly a season and a half when Alabama ripped off 19 straight wins. He has a new hat these days and doesn't know where the hat is that he wore, at least what's left of it, during the unbeaten 2009 national championship season.
"It was horrible. There was almost no top to it and strands were sticking up when I'd grab it and throw it to the ground," Saban says. "I wore it until we lost and then figured it was time to change hats."
