Want to see Miles' eyes light up? Ask him about his family -- particularly his four children.
He keeps a football that is inscribed with each child's birthdate and also features ink imprints from youngest daughter Macy Grace's feet from shortly after she was born.
"You talk about a game ball -- that's a game ball to me," Miles said.
Miles is very clear about the importance of family. Each year when he takes the podium at SEC media days, he opens by updating the gathered reporters about where he and wife Kathy have traveled that summer with kids "Smacker," "Manny," Ben and Macy Grace.
"Let's tell it the way it is, the Lord God knows nobody's going to remember the number of games I won and all that," Miles said while staring at his kids' names on the ball. "This to me is my legacy right there."
