2014 NBA playoffs: Miami Heat during the Big Three era

Heat Lose To Mavs
It was, possibly, the best thing that could've happened to the Heat, losing in the Finals to the Mavericks in the Big Three's first year together. It was marked by Bosh falling to his knees and crying in the hallway to the locker room. And it meant another offseason and ensuing regular season of mockery. But it was also another chance for LeBron to insert foot directly in his mouth. After the loss, LeBron addressed his haters thusly:
"All the people that were rooting for me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that [they had] before they woke up today. They got the same personal problems they had today. And I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things I want to do."
It was basically interpreted as "You still wish you were me." That was more ammunition for the anti-LeBron community, including Cavs owner Dan Gilbert, who sent out a congratulatory tweet to Mavs owner Mark Cuban, which was retweeted by 11,000 of LeBron's closest friends:
"Congrats to Mark C.&entire Mavs org. Mavs NEVER stopped & now entire franchise gets rings. Old Lesson for all:There are NO SHORTCUTS. NONE"
