Big 3's First Practice
An Air Force base in Hurlburt Field, Florida was the site. When the media walked into the gym for the first time, there was LeBron, there was Wade, there was Bosh, all practicing together in uniforms that didn't say USA.
They were wearing yellow mesh jerseys with "HEAT" on the front.
As far as the NBA was concerned, this was a sight to behold. LeBron was vocal, active, assertive. He and Wade even argued over the score of a scrimmage that ended the practice session.
Riley had planned the destination training camp as a way to bring the new group of teammates together, but also to provide the right attitude that would be required to play as the NBA's most targeted team. It was the first dose of controlled chaos that has been the Miami Heat of the past four years.
