ArjunV: "This has been an incredible comeback from Malinga after his firs over went for 20! Only 18 off his next 3 overs and that too bowling at the death"
7:05pm An innings that got stuck to quicksand once the powerplay finished. During the field restrictions, de Kock, pushed up to open, dominated and found the fence regularly, even as Breetzke struggled. His wicket, though, led to a slow-down and Klaasen, who was also promoted, could not get going. There were cameos by Mulder and Smuts, although neither of those were belligerent enough to take DSG past 150.
The Royals' spinners were excellent. Fortuin set the tone, before Root bowled four tidy overs in the middle, while also getting rid of Williamson. Mujeeb, meanwhile, got the big wickets of de Kock and Klaasen, with Malinga, who went for 20 in his first over, coming back excellently at the death to restrict DSG further. The Royals will fancy their chances here, but will be aware of the tricky nature of the surface. Join us in a bit for the chase!
