8.5 goes straight up, and Breetzke bites the dust! Gives this plenty of air, perhaps after seeing Breetzke chip down the track. He still does not get to the pitch of the ball - such was Fortuin's deception. In the end, Breetzke hacks across the line in an ungainly manner and the ball spoons up for Fortuin to complete a return catch. Fortuin finally has something to show for his tidiness! 62/1

12.2 another miscue, and Klaasen perishes too! DSG are flat-lining! Fizzed in on a back of a length on middle and off. This seems to hold in the surface and was anyway not short enough for Klaasen to pull over mid wicket. Gets a leading edge and Miller, running back from extra cover, does the rest. 11.5 Root bags Williamson! Thrown up full and wide, enticing Williamson to go inside-out. Williamson, though, like Breetzke, is deceived in the flight. Nowhere near the pitch of the ball and he has to reach out, meaning that he ends up chipping it much straighter than he would have wanted. That brings Miller into play and he makes no mistake at long off. Paarl Royals keep chipping away! 79/3

19.6 the innings ends with a run-out! Slanted in full on leg stump. Tails back in late and that takes the ball past the inside edge and the stumps. Mulder is shell-shocked at the quality of the delivery and does not react to Maharaj trying to pinch a bye. Karthik lines up his throw and hits the stumps. Mulder, who tried to ground his bat before trying for the run, could not do so in time, and was just short! 142/7

19.3 huge lbw shout, and that looks pretty plumb! Zipped into the blockhole, right on off stump. Smuts sits deep in his crease and tries to dig it out, but in vain. Cannot make contact and the ball tails back to smash his back leg. Right in front and Smuts does not even bother with the review! 140/5

19.5 what a bit of fielding by van Buuren! Length outside off and this seems to swerve away late. Mulder hacks it down the ground to long on and Woakes is happy to come back for the second. He is undone, though, because van Buuren produces a moment of fielding brilliance. Clean pick-up and he then uproots middle stumpa tt he bowler's end. What a throw, and DSG are now six down! 142/6

3.1 Dala among the wickets instantly! Length ball just outside off. Pretorius thinks he can pick this up and launch it over mid on but the ball just straightens enough off the surface. Catches the leading edge and Maharaj settles under it at mid off. Huge moment in the game, given Pretorius had scored all the Paarl Royals' runs up to this point! 25/2

Gets a healthy outside edge and Klaasen takes it smartly in front of his face and slightly to his right. Root bags a golden duck, and this is the early wicket the Super Giants would have wanted! 9/1

7.4 Noor Ahmad with a moment of absolute magic! Googly fizzed through on a length outside off. Hermann goes searching for it and is nowhere near the pitch of the ball. It spins back sharply, brushes the front pad and then crashes into the stumps. Hermann was dominating the DSG bowling attack but had no clue about that. Can the Super Giants use this as a catalyst for a comeback now? 77/3

17.1 oh dear - Miller has been run out! The Royals making heavy weather of finishing this game! Banged into the track outside off. Karthik swats it towards mid wicket, who misfields initially. That prompts Karthik to call Miller through for the single, even though there isn't one on. Miller tries to get across but is caught short as Mulder hits bulls-eye. Miller is annoyed and storms off.
