The expectations for USC are heavy this season. The Trojans are one of the preseason favorites to make the BCS Championship Game behind quarterback and Heisman hopeful Matt Barkley.
So to temper those expectations, coach Lane Kiffin had "Prep Not Hype" chalked into the side of the practice field as a reminder to his players that it's the work they do on the field that is going to get them where they want to be -- not the expectations and prognostications of others.
