3. Kansas
Sometime in May, a young man from Canada changed the fortunes of a program that rarely faces subdued projections. Before Andrew Wiggins' arrival, however, Kansas finally looked like a squad that might struggle to win another Big 12 title (the Jayhawks have won nine straight). And then the No. 1 recruit in college hoops committed. But it's not just Wiggins. Wayne Selden and Joel Embiid are future pros, too. Memphis transfer Tarik Black and Perry Ellis give Kansas elite frontcourt talent. If coach Bill Self can secure a starting point guard (Naadir Tharpe?), Kansas will definitely be a national title contender again. -- Myron Medcalf
