ESPN.com Preseason Power Rankings 2013
20. Nebraska
Nebraska should field one of the most explosive offenses in the Big Ten and the nation this season. Fourth-year starting QB Taylor Martinez led the league in yardage last year and made great strides as a passer. He'll team up again with Ameer Abdullah, a 1,100-yard back in 2012, plus an outstanding receiving corps led by Kenny Bell. Whether the Huskers can repeat as division champs or win their first conference title since 1999 depends on the other side of the ball. Bo Pelini's defense allowed 214 points in four losses last season and returns four starters -- and only one in the troublesome front seven. Nebraska hopes a soft early schedule helps that inexperienced defense gain much-needed confidence by November. -- Brian Bennett
