3. Oregon
The Ducks welcome back plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. The offense will be led by a pair of Heisman Trophy candidates in quarterback Marcus Mariota and receiver/running back De'Anthony Thomas. The offensive line and receivers also look strong, and don't be surprised if the Ducks throw more this fall. On defense, the Ducks are rebuilding at linebacker, losing three of four starters, but the line is talented and deep and the secondary may be the best and deepest crew in the nation. The big question, of course, is the man out front. Chip Kelly is now in the NFL coaching the Philadelphia Eagles, and his offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich is now running the Ducks' show. -- Ted Miller
