ESPN.com Preseason Power Rankings - College Basketball
1. Indiana
The lofty expectations for Indiana -- think Atlanta, early April -- center on the return of Cody Zeller (15.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg), one of the top players in the country. During the offseason, he packed on more muscle and prepped for an expanded offensive role that will include more plays away from the basket. But Tom Crean's program is far from one-dimensional. Veterans Christian Watford, Victor Oladipo and Jordan Hulls anchor the core of a squad with strong contributors at every position on the floor. A top-10 recruiting class will help, too. Freshman point guard Yogi Ferrell, along with Hull, will run the system in his first season. His ability to handle that pressure is the only question mark facing the Hoosiers entering the 2012-13 campaign. It's usually a good thing, however, when a program's top concern revolves around the capabilities of a former McDonald's All-American. -- Myron Medcalf
