Tyler Eifert
Tight End | Notre DameTight End U? Notre Dame has certainly made the case for that distinction in recent seasons, and Tyler Eifert has only strengthened that argument. A finalist for the Mackey Award in 2011, Eifert passed up the NFL draft after a 63-catch, 803-yard season and will look to improve upon those numbers in 2012. With all-time leading receiver Michael Floyd off to the pros, Eifert will become the Irish's No. 1 receiving threat, something they hope to take advantage of by lining him up all over the field. Look for the sure-handed Eifert to be relied on early and often by new quarterback Everett Golson.
