22. Michigan
A year ago at this time, John Beilein's program appeared stalled and adrift. Now it has as much forward momentum as any in the country. The Wolverines slowly but surely developed into a worthy foe last season, as Darius Morris deftly commanded an offense designed around Beilein's 3-point-heavy scheme. Morris took his talents to the NBA, but the kids he was dishing to -- Tim Hardaway Jr., Zack Novak and Stu Douglass among others -- return in 2011-12, Michigan's first in a renovated Crisler Arena. There may be some growing pains to watch for here; it's never easy to replace a point guard backbone like Morris. But Beilein's team should fill out nicely by conference play. Last season's finish -- a thrilling and impressive NCAA tournament loss to Duke -- may be only the beginning. -- Eamonn Brennan
