MLB Playoffs - Postseason Classics

Oct. 23, 1993 -- Blue Jays 8, Phillies 6: This was the only time a team went from trailing to World Series champ with one swing of the bat. Not that anyone was really caught off guard. For one thing, did anyone really expect Mitch Williams would protect that slim lead against Rickey Henderson, Devon White, Paul Molitor and Joe Carter? Did anyone not expect Carter, who had 10 100-RBI seasons, to come through? No, as the home run cleared the fence and Joe danced around the bases while another SkyDome sellout crowd roared over Toronto's second consecutive world championship, the only thing that should have surprised anyone is that the Blue Jays success would not continue for years to come.
