ESPN.com's 2011 All-American Team
- Intro
- >

As the coaches will tell you -- and tell you -- college football is a triumph of many acting as one. That may explain how Oklahoma can be No. 1 and not place a player on the ESPN.com preseason All-America team (that and the broken toe that Sooners linebacker Travis Lewis suffered Monday). The Pac-12 fills the most positions on this team with eight, although it's hard to assess how many Oregon Ducks are suited up. They fill three positions with two players, only one of whom is eligible at this writing. We are betting that junior Cliff Harris, the cornerback/kick returner, returns from his suspension early enough to salvage his season. Other teams with multiple players: Alabama, Nebraska, South Carolina and Stanford. -- Ivan Maisel
