I Am A World Champion: Super Bowl championship quarterbacks

Steve Young
San Francisco 49ers | Super Bowl XXIXInitially, Steve Young struggled at passing. Yes, BYU's coaching staff considered switching the Pro Football Hall of Fame QB to defensive back. It's a good thing they didn't. In 1994, Young would step out of Joe Montana's shadow and take the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl they'd long been waiting for. On the strength of a decisive six-TD, 325-yard passing performance, Young won Super Bowl XXIX against the Chargers. Once and for all, the Super Bowl monkey perched on Young's back for his entire career was lifted.
