ESPN.com's 2014 All-America Team

Melvin Gordon
Running back | WisconsinNot since Barry Sanders was breaking ankles has a college football running back dominated like Gordon did in 2014. He was the fastest player ever to reach 2,000 yards, doing it in just 241 carries, and he leads FBS with 16 runs of 40-plus yards. He also set the FBS record with 408 rushing yards vs. Nebraska, and while that only lasted a week, he remains the NCAA leader in career yards per carry at 7.88 per rush. He still has an outside shot at breaking Sanders' single-season rushing record. Even if not, he's already posted one of the best seasons of all time. -- Brian Bennett
