Landon Collins
Free safety | AlabamaThe former five-star prospect took time to develop, playing on special teams as a freshman before beginning last season second on the depth chart at safety. And lo and behold, the top guys started falling as Ha Ha Clinton-Dix missed a couple of games and Vinnie Sunseri tore his ACL. Collins never looked back. He quickly became the Tide's most productive defender: second in tackles, first in passes defended, tied for second in forced fumbles and interceptions, and fourth in tackles for loss. Now he's the top dog in a secondary low on experience but high on expectations. -- Alex Scarborough
