ALVAREZ-ANGULO
By Bernardo Pilatti
ESPNDeportes.com
Canelo Alvarez (42-1-1, 30 KOs) returns to action following his first loss in September to Floyd Mayweather Jr. In a 12-round bout with no titles at stake, Alvarez faces Mexican countryman Alfredo "Perro" Angulo (22-3, 18 KOs). The fight should be a real test for Alvarez, who headlines his second PPV card and must show he's over the criticism he earned from his first defeat. This time his opponent will be an aggressive brawler who will apply pressure from the outset -- a style which, on paper, favors Canelo's ability to counter. We take a look at the possibilities of each fighter in our "12 Rounds."
