10.22 pm Strikers were always going to struggle to defend this total and after a methodical first 15 overs, the Sixers finally turn on the jets at the very end to close out a comfortable win.

Player of the Match is Sean Abbott for his three wickets and 19 not out: "I'm over the moon [after the birth of his child]. My wife has been a super mum. It's good to get out there again tonight. It played a little similar to the last game against the Hurricanes. A lot of our bowlers bowled cutters into the wicket to put a pause on their guys to get going. [On becoming the BBL leading wicket-taker] I'm pretty fortunate to be in the Sixers environment for such a long time. I'm stoked to get that many wickets but try to not get as many caught on the boundary. A few in the ring would be nice."

That's it from our coverage for tonight. Come back tomorrow for more BBL action. Take care!

Siddle to Kerr, SIX, so much for taking a single to get Abbott back on strike. Kerr smashes a slower short ball high over midwicket into the stands to end the match in style!

Siddle to Kerr, 2 runs, length ball on fifth stump, slices a drive over cover and they take on the sweeper's arm for a very tight pair. Relay needed to be a direct hit to send him back but he's just over the line before Nielsen gets the bails off.

Captain Siddle to bowl the final over with Kerr on strike yet to face a ball.

Garton to Abbott, FOUR, back of the hand slower ball overpitched on off stump searching for yorker and with mid-off up in the ring, this is fatal. Firm drive goes to the rope.

Garton to Abbott, no run, length ball slanted across fourth stump, there to smash but Abbott is beaten on a flat-footed swipe.

Garton to Abbott, FOUR, short on the stumps, hammers a pull through square leg and splits two boundary riders to the rope.

Kerr enters off strike with 14 off 9 to win.

Garton to Silk, OUT, short and wide, swats this high in the air to the cover sweeper. He's not there as a catching position but it carries to him at head height two yards in from the rope. There's been a carousel of sub fielders on tonight and this time it is Hunt in position to catch it.
