Goalie Lehtonen returns to Thrashers after missing 16 games with groin injury

ATLANTA -- Thrashers goaltender Kari Lehtonen was recalled
Saturday from an AHL reconditioning assignment after missing 16
games with a groin injury.

The Thrashers sent goaltender Ondrej Pavelec back to the Chicago
Wolves, their AHL affiliate.

Lehtonen, who opened the season as the starting goalie, was
placed on injured reserve on Oct. 19. He was 0-4 in five games
before the injury and was 2-0 with a 1.92 goals-against average
with Chicago.

Lehtonen has a career record of 58-43-9 with seven shutouts for
Atlanta, holding the franchise record in wins and shutouts.
