BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -- Adrian Zamora scored 16 points, pacing four players in double-figures, and Montana State beat Alcorn State 83-57 Friday night in the first round of the MSU GranTree Inn Classic.
Carlos Taylor added 13 points and Casey Durham and Mecklen Davis had 12 each for the Bobcats (3-3), who shot 50 percent from the field (27-of-54) and went to the free throw line an astonishing 35 times, making 22 of them.
Alex Owumi had 14 points but was just 5-of-15 from the field for the Braves (0-5), who turned the ball over 23 times and found themselves down 46-31 at the half. Two Alcorn State players fouled out and two others ended the game with four fouls.
