Duquesne used pressure defense to down Cal State Northridge

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kojo Mensah scored 22 points and
Duquesne forced 26 turnovers to beat Cal State Northridge 97-74
Friday night in the Drake Iowa Realty Invitational Tournament.

Aaron Jackson added 19 points, five rebounds, five assists and
four steals for Duquesne (6-0), which used a full-court press to
pull away in the second half.

Cal State Northridge (4-1) managed a 24-21 lead in the first
half before Duquesne rallied for a seven-point halftime lead.

The Matadors cut the deficit to 48-43 early in the second half
but couldn't get any closer, falling behind by as many as 25 late
in the game.

Duquesne collected 11 3-pointers from eight players, including
two from Bill Clark, who scored 16 points.

Rodrigue Mels scored 18 points off the bench to lead Cal State
Northridge. Teammate Jonathan Heard added 11 points and Tremaine
Townsend collected ten points, ten rebounds and four steals.
