Sandy, defense lead Mary to 38-0 win over Minn.-Crookston

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Blair Sandy threw for 200 yards and two
touchdowns, and the University of Mary defense scored twice while
limiting Minnesota-Crookston to 146 yards of total offense in a
38-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win on Saturday.

The Marauders (4-3, 4-1 NSIC) won for the fourth straight time
by holding the Golden Eagles (1-5, 0-5) to just 99 yards rushing
and 47 yards through the air.

Shawn Melland returned an interception 59 yards for a score and
James Patterson took a fumble back 23 yards for a Mary TD.

Two UMC quarterbacks completed just eight of 21 passes.

Sandy was 11 for 20 on pass attempts. He tossed a 33-yard
scoring pass to Bayland Rippenkroger, who also rushed for 104
yards. Sandy also connected with Mike Williams on a 23-yard scoring
pass.

Reggie Frazier ran 13 times for 62 yards for UMC.
