CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs recalled catcher Geovany Soto
from Triple-A Iowa on Friday and optioned outfielder Felix Pie to
the same minor league club.
Soto was batting .341 with 12 homers and 55 RBIs for Iowa. He
played in 11 games for the Cubs last season.
Pie, who has had two stints with the Cubs this season, batted
.216 with two homers and 18 RBIs in 48 games for Chicago.
