Here's a rundown of what I've had to say about Maryland RB LAMONT JORDAN since the beginning of the college-football season.
Nov. 22
The vastly improved Georgia Tech defense put the clamps on Jordan, limiting him to just 25 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Has been hampered by a variety of injuries this season that have limited his productivity in certain games. Against North Carolina, he carried the ball 27 times for 101 yards while also catching two passes out of the backfield. By the way, those were the most carries by Jordan in a game this season. While the 2000 campaign hasn't gone the way he had hoped, you see glimpses each week of his big-league talent as a RB.
Nov. 8
Flashed his big-time ability against N.C. State, going 25 yards for a TD in the first overtime after the Wolfpack had taken the lead. For the day, Jordan carried the ball 25 times for 101 yards, while also hauling in four receptions out of the backfield for 53 yards.

Now back at 100 percent from the hip pointer, Jordan started slowly against Duke (11 carries for 12 yards in the first half) last week, but flashed first-round ability in the second half, carrying the ball 10 times for 146 yards. In just the second play of the second half, he raced 77 yards for a TD, then later added a 28-yard TD scamper. He also had one reception for 32 yards. Keep in mind, the Terrapin offensive line hasn't exactly been clearing huge holes for Jordan to run through. He's earning just about every inch of real estate. With 80 yards on the ground this week against N.C. State at College Park, Jordan would surpass 4,000 total rushing yards for his career.
