It wasn't always so high tech here! Ricky's® has been around since 1946. Like many a famous establishment, you just need to mention the name. When you tell a sports fan to meet up at "Ricky's" they know all about it. The insane amount of TV's, (yes even in the bathroom), the food, the personalities from local media who stop by, the current and former players who drop in. But with all that it is mostly about the people that come to Rickys. It is THE place to see YOUR team. When you walk in the door you are family.

Yes Ricky's is known worldwide as a Raiders fan hangout. It's true if you are a Raiders fan, you must visit Ricky's. Fans come from all over the country and the world to visit. We've had Raider Nation fans from England and Japan in the house. Hey, even Raiders players stop by. During the dark days of the team not playing in Oakland, the Raiders fans would gather at Ricky's for every game It is a real family. The media knows to come to Ricky's. Sometimes they broadcast from Ricky's or interview patrons on Raiders issues.

There are so many Ricky's/Raiders stories, ask Ricky for some the next time you stop by. Here is a good one. Back in 1977 The Oakland Raiders had won their first Super Bowl defeating the Minnesota Vikings 32 to 14. This was way before the days of the home VCR, but Ricky's had professional equipment to tape the game. A few weeks after the game, on a slow weekday afternoon, The Raiders players started to arrive at Ricky's. Why? They wanted to watch the game! After everyone made it in, Ricky cued up the tape and the Super Bowl champion Oakland Raiders got to live it all over again.

Ricky's Sports Theatre and Grill in San Leandro, California. Also known as Ricky's Raider Bar. Can you hear it? It starts off low ,the chant of RAIDERS,RAIDERS,RAIDERS. Soon the sound is deafening because the entire bar is chanting RAIDERS,RAIDERS,RAIDERS. This is how the band "Raider Hed" starts off every performance they give at Ricky's. All the while D.J.DINO of the RAIDER RAZA group is rocking the back banquet room with ICE CUBES "RAIDER NATION". You're entering into the BEATING HEART of RAIDER NATION! I've seen people dumb enough to wear the opposing teams jersey turn sheet white whlie thinking, I'm sure, "What have I gotten myself into?

But Ricky's isn't just RAIDER fanatics intimidating the opposing teams fans, or getting pumped up for the upcoming game. It's much more than that. It is an awesome, almost surreal environment that has to be seen to be believed. Nothing is more important to DIE HARD RAIDER fans than the RAIDERS! This is on full display at RICKY'S. Hardcore RAIDER fans at our best. Sure, sure I know what you're thinking, "Hey, you live in Oakland, what else are you gonna say about your favorite bar". That's what makes my letter so great, I'm from WEST VIRGINIA and only been to Oakland to see a game twice(2009,20012)But me and my friends spend every moment we can at RICKY'S.

And if you want to hear about how they treat their customers, ask anyone who is not a RAIDER fan that has been there. I guarantee they say it's awesome. But if you want to feel the passion, pride and loyalty of an NFL fan base, be a RAIDER fan from outta town and get to RICKY'S. Where else can you sit down and talk to RAIDER GREATS like Clifford Branch, George Atkinson and John Vella like I did this past weekend before the season opener against the Chargers. I'll tell you where… NOWHERE! Yeah, we may get a little rowdy there, but don't forget we are RAIDER fans. But with all that said, RICKY'S exists and is what it is because of the two nicest, hardest working people you will ever meet. Ricky & Tina Ricardo. They go above and beyond the call of duty for everyone of their customers, not just RAIDER fans. Vote RICKY'S #1

RAIDER NATION !
JUST WIN BABY !
